“Do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
Matthew 6:31-32
Your heavenly Father knows. Can there be a phrase more beautiful than this? The God of heaven has adopted all who believe in Christ and made them his sons and daughters.
The disappointment you’ve experienced over the past month.
Your Father knows.
The daily challenges of a wayward child.
Your Father knows.
The broken relationship that you cannot mend.
Your Father knows.
The chronic disease that can’t be cured.
Your Father knows.
The spouse who has broken your heart more times than you can count.
Your Father knows.
The ache of loneliness that never seems to go away.
Your Father knows.
The constant cares that weigh heavily on your mind.
Your Father knows.
And as beautiful as that thought is, how much more precious is it to have the ability to run to the arms of this heavenly Father, and pour out your heart to him? If you are a believer in Christ, you have this privilege! Take advantage of it! Come to the one who knows all your joys and sorrows. Let him carry the weight of them, and rest in him.
You do not face this life alone. As you are confronted by the challenges of today, allow the truth of these words to resonate in your heart and mind: Your Father knows.
For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you,
“Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”
Isaiah 41:13
